JEALOUSY is conquered when we no longer: ● nitpick and find fault with others over trivial issues; ● try to bribe others love with gifts and favors; ● insincerely flatter others to coerce their love; ● accuse others of disloyalty without evidence; ● thwart others’ search for love and put stumbling blocks in their way; ● gossip about others and make them look bad in front of others behind their back; ● stalk, spy and snoop and violate others’ privacy; ● try to make competitors or the subject of desire appear less desirable; and ● desperately beg and plead for reciprocated love. ENVY is defeated when we no longer: ● criticize others who excel us or who we fear will; ● try to discredit others' character or doctrine; ● sabotage and undermine others from succeeding and being praised for their efforts; ● doubt others and try to discourage them from worthy purposes; and ● compete with others to try to outdo them and prove our superiority.
