INTRODUCTION

This is a philosophy, that if followed, will make your dreams come true! You will live your Chosen Life. But it must be CONSISTENTLY APPLIED to life. Then the translation usually occurs slowly over a period of time, as in years, and even decades. If you can accept that PRICE, what you need to understand is that there is a FORMULA for achieving SUCCESS which you must FOLLOW in carrying out your endeavors and ventures over an extended period of time. You must learn what that formula is and then put it into APPLICATION in your life with persistence. As you APPLY this procedure, there are certain CONDITIONS you want to be present in the unfoldment of your plans and experiences, like how we interface with the world and handle people. And finally, SPIRITUAL POWERS must be drawn upon to come to your aid when your own individual efforts have taken you as far as they can take you, so that you may at last, in the end, CONTRIBUTE your great blessings to the world in the form of ALTRUISM.

1. VISION

It's rare for blessings to come into our lives unless we FIRST decide definitely that we want them in our lives, except by fluke. So DECIDE exactly what you want! How can you live your dreams if you don't even know what they are? So meditate on and deliberately determine what they are!

Decide the following things, which make up your Chosen Life: Who do you want to become? What kind of personality and character do you want to develop? What skills do you want to learn? And what advantages will those skills privilege you to? What kind of possessions do you want to own? What kind of home, car, clothes, phone, etc.? Which people and what kind of relationships do you want with them to make up your daily life? Which locations do you want to visit, and what events do you want to attend? What kind of opportunities do you want? And for what reason? What kind of recognition for what achievements do you want to receive? And in what arena? What impact do you want to have on others?

Get clear on all these things! Use your imagination and start thinking about these questions throughout your days, and mulling them over, so you can make some DECISIONS that will alter the entire course of your future. Forget the limits, or how you will achieve all this. Put no limitations on your desires or consider them impossible (within reason). Let your imagination run wild, then start writing them down, one by one, and even describing them in great detail.

Do this for YOU! Decide what YOU want for YOU! I discourage desiring things just because of the perception it will give us in others’ eyes. That's a fallacious life, to attempt to build our Self-Worth solely on how society views us.

2. COST

In a civilized society, it takes money to live our Chosen Life. We need to serve and be served, and money is often how we mediate that exchange of value. So your next step, after you've determined precisely and definitely what you want, is to attach A TOTAL SUM or a recurring MONTHLY AMOUNT to your desired lifestyle.

So go right ahead and calculate HOW MUCH you would need to make your dreams a reality in this economic world. Go through your list of desires from the last section, and start RESEARCHING the prices and costs of those goods and services that would make your Chosen Life a reality. Add up every ITEM that COSTS MONEY on your list, so that you’ll KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH you’ll need to live your dreams. Determine and attach either a total sum OR a recurring monthly amount that would financially support your Chosen Life.

Keep this sum ever and always in the forefront of your mind. That is now your MISSION in life for the time being! Now you know what YOU demand of this world to live your Chosen Life. But the world ALSO asks something of you now too. We’ll get to that now.

3. VALUE

There is no such thing as something for nothing, and those who try to get without giving end up with consequences on their hands. No, you must render an EQUIVALENT SERVICE in return for the SUM you are seeking to manifest your Chosen Life! You must deliver benefits to your fellow man that are commensurate with the amount your Chosen Life demands!

You do this by discovering what your GIFTS are, the things you excel at and maybe others even admire you for. You love to engage in these ACTIVITIES, don't you? So why not INVEST your time in developing your gifts, then translating them into PRODUCTS and SERVICES that benefit others? That's the REAL WAY, in Nature, to "make money" or “get rich”.

It can take time to discover your gifts, especially if you're young, so give yourself time. But start identifying what you're GOOD at, and what you LOVE most. Then start asking yourself how you can do THAT THING in a way that ENRICHES others’ lives, so you can therefore RIGHTFULLY ask money in return for it.

Then comes preparation. This involves both study and practice. Your gift, your CRAFT, must be MASTERED – by studying what the experts have to teach, observation of those who have received praise and earned merit, and through relentless applied practice and a honing of the skill – so that you can render services at their highest level, and thus entitling you to compensation relative to it. You must bring your SKILL LEVEL in delivering your services level with the SUM you desire. Then you are rightfully ready and entitled to live your Chosen Life!

Once you have established a Craft, it is not merely enough to dream about it. Then do nothing. That will not do. Procrastination MUST be conquered, and action MUST be taken! The next step explains.

4. ACTION

Dreams don't take manifestation in reality without taking INITIATIVE and ACTION. If the work doesn't get done, why should there be an outcome or reward? No, since we are compensated FOR our services, we must RENDER THEM. Only then does this ENTITLE us to compensation, relative to the benefit that came to others as a result of our actions.

As we mentioned, there are two steps to delivering service: preparation and delivery. We must be motivated to study and practice, and remain sustained in that activity until we are skilled enough to be of great USE to Society. And we have also already said this is easy to do when we are: good at what we do, and we love engaging in it. Procrastination is easily conquered when these exist. So you must find the thing! Then commit to it!

But to help sustain you through the tough spots, I would encourage you to write down all the REASONS WHY you want to live your dreams. Then they can be called to mind as reminders of what you’re really seeking to accomplish. What we want is LIVED EXPERIENCES we have anticipated, don’t we? Ones that lead to making memories, and growing, and achieving soul satisfaction. So write those emotional cravings down, thinking about how amazing it will be when those conditions are finally brought into your life. Bringing this to mind is what sustains us through the trials and adversities, which we’ll talk more about in the Persistence section.

Really what you must do is cultivate a BURNING DESIRE TO LIVE YOUR CHOSEN LIFE! How do you do that? You first know what it is, then imagine and rehearse and enact it out in your imagination OFTEN. You VISUALIZE and then EXPERIENCE various scenes of what it will be like. You constantly think about how AMAZING it's going to be. You imagine what it's going to FEEL LIKE when you realize your dreams!

Then the business becomes about bringing a PRODUCT or SERVICE to MARKET using your SKILLS to create and deliver it. And to do that, ACTION must be taken, the right, effective action. That action is simply to CREATE and RELEASE the best you can currently produce. This sometimes requires RESEARCH and EXPERIMENTATION. Then watch how the market RESPONDS to it, so you’ll know how to ADVANCE or PIVOT in learning to perfect the goods or services, molding them around the consumers’ desires and needs, indicated by their responses and behavior. That comes next.

But first, what we need to do is TRY THINGS! We need possible ideas to test that would possibly make profitable products or services. How do we come up with these? We look for a PROBLEM we ourselves have (as sometimes us solving our own problem attracts interested people who have the same one) or problems others have that have been observed or researched, then we find the SOLUTION to it, and finally offer that to the public as a trade. Or the other way is to provide a vehicle to the client that empowers them to live a desired, satisfying experience. These can often coincide. This is what we bring to market and offer to the public.

5. ADAPTATION

We finally achieve our aims and arrive at our Chosen Life through and by the LIVED PROCESS of TRYING, FAILING, then LEARNING from those failures for the NEXT ATTEMPTS, that then, eventually, lead us to the coveted goal of SUCCESS! Hallelujah!

You must understand that there is a BRIDGE to realizing any desired result, or transforming a negative circumstance into a positive one. That’s to LEARN A SKILL. It is the USE of that skill that makes you a USEFUL ASSET to others and is therefore VALUABLE to you. So determine what RESULTS you want – so you can identify the SKILL you need to learn first – and then go out and learn it! As you move forward with the work, start pinpointing the OUTCOME SKILLS you’ll need, and work TRAINING on them into your plan. These skills can be used for personal benefit or to produce money or taught in exchange for money, which makes them invaluable.

In this Cycle of trying and failing, after we have promoted a product or service to the public and they have responded to it, we look at the REACTION to both: the OFFER and the PRODUCT. We listen to the consumer FEEDBACK and we observe their BEHAVIOR with our goods or services. This is what empowers us to know what to change or improve. This also empowers us to adapt to how our clients are RESPONDING to our offer and our products or services. This is priceless information, for innovation, marketing and sales!

Here's how it works: Solving problems and promoting the solutions are much alike. They're both processes of TRIAL and ERROR, unless we have wise counsel, which already makes us ourselves wise. The same process that goes into solving the problem is often the same one used in marketing it. We have to understand the story. This not only helps us speak to the customer and convince them, but they feel understood by us (and we do understand them!), which is what moves sales.

This CYCLE must be followed UNTIL it launches an enterprise that successfully and predictably generates enough revenue to support your Chosen Life. But you must not give up. You must keep going, even in the most trying of times, until success is, finally, achieved. Next is how.

6. PERSEVERANCE

In pursuing our dreams, and even just in living life, it is inevitable that we will face sometimes seemingly unbearable disappointments and discouragements and seemingly insurmountable obstacles. But what is important is how we deal with them. We must be able to endure life's adversities and reverses with grace, then pick ourselves back up and carry on with the work of manifesting our Chosen Life. We must NOT let our trials and tribulations stop us and make us quit. WE MUST CARRY ON! But what tends to make us want to quit? And how do we deal with these pests?

First, there is CRITICISM! If you step out from the ranks and demand life pay off on your terms, the envious will try to discourage and stop you by RIDICULING you. So people will say unkind things about you, and they will say untrue things about you. You must develop a thick skin to these assaults. And how you do that is you STOP VALUING the opinions of people who are ignorant. You just stop caring, and even taking an interest.

Second, there is FAILURE! We already talked somewhat on this. But you ARE going to encounter failure as you learn to bring your dreams into reality. Sometimes the best way of dealing with it is to, depending on the severity of the blow, take some time to sulk and do and think nothing. The deflated feelings that come with an approach or venture not working out pass and new inspiration will come.

Third, there is REJECTION! In doing this work, you ARE going to have people say "No" to you, and you ARE going to have people want NOTHING to do with you. You must just learn to accept it. How? Place your priorities on the people who DO VALUE YOU! Not on the ones who don't esteem you. Respect them, yes. But don't make your happiness dependent on their love or approval. Instead, wait for those who will truly love, value and respect you to come into your life if they're not present yet. They will come.

Fourth, there is BETRAYAL! In life, you're bound to have loved ones betray your trust. This is probably the MOST PAINFUL thing to experience. And there is no cure for it, other than to let time heal the wounds and process it to release the bitterness. But what can be learned from it is how to SCREEN people: what red flags to look for, and how to respond to them. This equips us to protect our peace in the future.

Fifth, there is LOSS. The previous one may be most painful, but this one is most difficult. Losing something or someone we cherish or invested in, knowing it’s probably not or never coming back to us HURTS. And the pain lingers and torments. The only tonic for sorrow is tears. Mourning is the only constructive remedy to loss.

7. USE

The sections leading up to here have been sequential. But the next two sections are realities that are transpiring all the time, when we are alone and when we are with people. They AREN’T principles in this formula, but ongoing CONDITIONS that are present throughout the strategy and should therefore be given great consideration.

We shape the unfoldment by our REACTIONS to our own thoughts and the actions of others. We think, and we act. Another reacts to that. Then we think and react to their reaction. So on, and vice versa. But what happens when we react uncontrollably and abruptly in that string of reactions, which is all there is to an INTERACTION? We lose power over them, giving away our control to the other parties. But if we remain in control of OURSELVES and OUR responses, our power in confrontation and conflict, or also in moments of peace, becomes endless! Others begin to surrender to OUR lead instead.

How this is achieved is by balancing the head on top of the spine throughout the unfoldment. This results in the voice being RESONANT and PROJECTED. And it results in the body movements and stances, along with eye focus, being deliberately and CONSCIOUSLY controlled moment to moment. That is how power is COMMUNICATED from one mind to another in the physical, and power is ESSENTIAL to realize your dreams, especially if they're on the larger or less modest scale.

The WAY HOW you do all this is you learn and apply FM Alexander's Technique. I claim it is the BEST DECISION a person can make, BECAUSE it innately affects all their OTHER decisions.

8. PEOPLE

Everyone must be SCREENED for who you can trust! Your role as a good human being is to treat everyone you meet with dignity and respect. You give them your attention and your willingness to do them favors. BUT they MUST reciprocate. Your attention and your pull are PRIVILEGES. If someone is going to try to use you or treat you with disrespect, you WITHDRAW those privileges from them! Now they must make it up TO YOU IF they want those privileges back, and if you concede.

It's all about GOODWILL. You extend that to others and expect it back. But when you don't get it, you learn NOT to wish illwill, and you give warnings first, but if they’re not considered, you put DISTANCE between you and them. You set boundaries, and you enforce them. And in cases of gross abuse and disrespect, you CUT such people out of your life completely and DENY them ACCESS to you and your life.

But how do we get into these situations in the first place? Often, it's through family and circumstance. But many other times, it's through our own INITIATIVE. If we want an introduction to someone, most times the best way is to give it to ourselves. But how do we do that? We learn how to engage ANYONE in conversation, under ANY circumstance. This is done by leading our conversations so they accomplish THIS one thing: share what you and your life is all about with them (and be interesting, because you are), and encourage them to share who they are and their life is all about with you. That's it. THAT IS THE SECRET TO PEOPLE.

Also, navigating allies and enemies, admirers and haters: some people WILL ROOT for you to realize your dreams, while others will WAIT on your DOWNFALL. This doesn't need to be taken personally. Jealousy and envy are wretched emotions, and the people who let themselves become slaves to them live wretched lives. So pay them no mind. Instead, pay your allies and admirers your attention and time. Serve them and their interests.

9. PATIENCE

After exercising your divine prerogative to think and act and relate, and you have already taken complete responsibility for your circumstances, yet if STILL the Chosen Life isn’t manifesting, don’t be alarmed! Perhaps you are being INITIATED by a Divine Plan by all your experiences – the apparent victories and defeats – which are PREPARING you for something GREAT.

We want our blessings in life, and we want them now. And if we don't get them, it can annoy, frustrate and anger us. We can wonder where The God is in all this. We can wonder when the suffering will finally end, and the bliss begin. We can wonder where the hidden justice is, after all the trials and wrongs we've endured. But qualities and characteristics ARE being built in these delays, and, if you’re doing your part, things ARE moving backstage, as all these things are happening. So your role is to TRUST. But we will talk about that later. Three things are being developed and unfolded in the deprivations and delays.

CHARACTER is forged in the fires of adversity. And what is adversity but being denied our blessings, at least for the time being? Adversity is what we go through WHILE we're being deprived of and pursuing our Chosen Life. And adversity is what teaches us strength of character. This should serve as a reminder and a call to patience, because we are being fashioned in the waiting to live our Chosen Life and enter our Destiny.

PERSONALITY is unfolded and refined through the process of meeting and relating to a wide variety of people, learning from those experiences and integrating them into the face you show the world, our public persona. Patience should be remembered here because others often hold the mirror to us, and we get to further see who we truly are by interacting with them, which can be a slow, even ugly process, to get to know ourselves objectively, to see ourselves as the world sees us.

And REPUTATION is the perception others have of us, established in their minds over time being exposed to us, arrived at from the appearance of revelations of our characters and personalities. Patience becomes a necessity here because it takes time for a good reputation to spread, and for it to be established and celebrated as such in the first place.

These three links in the chain of success ONLY COME with time. They cannot be rushed, nor should they be. Patience is KEY here as these events are lived out in the unfoldment.

10. PRAYER

Prayer is often a DEBATE with The God over why we can't have our blessings right this instant, and a PLEA to know why the things that happened to us happened to us. We want results and outcomes, and we want reasons, explanations and answers. Ultimately, in this, we want RELIEF from our suffering. We want to make sense of everything. So we go to The God and ask Him these things: Why can't we have what we want right now, and what's the point in waiting longer? Why can't The God just tell us the reason why things happened to us the way they did, then we'd finally have answers, relief and peace? How much longer is the wait until our blessings come in at last anyway? These questions haunt and plague us, don't they? So where's the consolation in them?

The purpose of us asking The God these questions is to WRESTLE with Him, resulting finally in us SURRENDERING control over to Him, and RELYING and TRUSTING in Him completely.

When we ask the aforementioned questions, our Chosen Life is priority to us over His will and His plan for us and our lives. The hard TRUTH is we are resistant to the latter things – when we ask Him these questions. And being in that FRAME OF MIND is exactly what is being sought to be nursed and cured in us in all this busyness. So try to find a way to STOP RESISTING the way things are turning out for you, even if they're vastly different than the expectations you once had for yourself and your life. Instead, let the experiences, and the delays and tears, break you down to the point of SURRENDER. Maybe there is a great PURPOSE in all of it.

TRUST in The God is the ultimate goal. The God wants you to TRUST HIM. And that trust often only truly comes when we have desired to massive lengths and fought fiercely for our Chosen Life, and still, He has withheld it from us. Then comes the realization that we are being tested by a choice: Would we rather have our Chosen Life – or would we rather have The God?

But I say: When surrender comes, trust FOLLOWS. And when that trust is IN PLACE, the Chosen Life is very near!

11. GRATITUDE

There is a great fallacy, and it is this: that once we get relief from our struggles and obtain a specific objective, THEN we will be grateful and happy. Is this true though? If a person isn’t grateful with a hundred dollars, do you really think they’re going to be grateful with a million? Once they attain it, they’re going to realize it didn’t satisfy, then turn their sights to attaining something else, something MORE, hoping that will fulfill. No, gratitude – an appreciation for the blessings we ALREADY HAVE – needs to come FIRST. It needs to start NOW. Then you will be TRULY GRATEFUL when you realize your Chosen Life.

Start expressing gratitude for the blessings you already have as you go about your days. This is EASY to do. But in the beginning it can be difficult to remember. However, once in the habit, it becomes a lifestyle, or an inner and ongoing process of thinking. When you catch yourself enjoying a moment or something you’re experiencing, TRAIN yourself to express appreciation and gratitude for it! Just a thought “I like this! I’m grateful for this! Thank-you, YHWH!” That’s it. Then carry on with whatever it was you were doing.

Next, something worth investing in sometimes is this: Take an hour, sit down and write out everything you have in your life that you’re grateful for. Reflect on that list. And express thankfulness for it.

And finally, if you don’t already, start showing clerks, servers and attendants gratitude, and thanking them for their services. Remember, without them, you leaving the stores with the merchandise would be impermissible.

12. DESTINY

When you persistently apply the philosophy presented here, eventually you will manifest your dreams and live your Chosen Life. You will reach soul satisfaction, with all your wants and needs met. You have answered fate's call, and now it expects something of you: to pivot your focus from achieving your own interests (because you already have), and turn it to serving others’ interests. The Altruism that comes out of this IS YOUR DESTINY! There are three manners of aiding Humani/ty.

First, the path you will have walked in translating your dreams into reality will make you an EXPERT on something. You won't just have scholarly knowledge you learned at an institution, but actual practical wisdom. This becomes your GIFT to the world. You can now SHARE the knowledge, wisdom and understanding with others, by writing, lecturing or teaching what you know. You devote the bulk of your efforts to EDIFYING and INSPIRING others.

Second, you will likely have excess CAPITAL at your disposal. This can be used for CHARITY, to bless those who have been less fortunate than you. This can be done through direct contribution or building systems that offer free services to those in need.

And third, you will likely have influence, which you can use to give those who have proven themselves worthy OPPORTUNITIES for advancement. You will have connections, and you can use those connections to put the right people in partnership together that will benefit both parties. The work here is to UPLIFT and PROSPER others.

That is how life works: you decide, pursue and realize your Chosen Life, then you change direction from the self and devote your efforts to edifying and uplifting others.

But the whole SECRET of this work is to take responsibility and act on what is completely within your power, surrender to The God what is not under your power, and pray to know the difference.
